Finnish Lesson Two

August 18, 2010

Mr. Pants (the beau)  made this for us to use to learn some new vocabulary. For the record I like learning new things but it was interesting to watch, right when Ms. Skirt (Mommy) was ready and trying to give up on the longer and harder to pronounce words, Mr. Pants was very encouraging and repeated the word slowly syllable by syllable and guess what happened! She got it! I was impressed with both of them and very glad that I couldn’t talk. Suomi words past 4 letters long are asking a bit much from my brain right now.. wait, do I even have a brain? I guess I must seeing that I am learning things. In addition to the flashcard to get Ms. Skirt use to the sound of Suomi she learned the song Sama Nainen by Chisu.
Once Ms. Skirt listened to the song a few times she made a big mistake. She sang it for him and every since then she has to sing to him every night before he goes to bed.  At first I thought this was a bad thing until one night I stayed up later then normal and overheard him reading to her before she went to bed, so I guess it all works out in the end. And now I am a little jealous Ms. Skirt doesn’t read to me at night, but she does kiss my cheek before she leaves for the day. *shrugs* I’m not sure how I feel yet or what it is that I want out of this relationship. So far Ms. Skirt isn’t a bad parent/owner she’s growing daily and I am enjoying the ride thus far.
